The Soft Dyno produces complete, full-range mechanical and electrical performance curves, including losses and efficiency, for any type or size of the motor, without using a loading device. The new but IEEE/IEC/NEMA -compliant process measures voltage, current, and speed during uncoupled motor starts, meaning no more need for complex, expensive, limited-range dyno infrastructure to performance test motors.

Its unique, patented data consistency and self-calibration checks assure confidence in the results by laws of physics and motor design. Have a need for performance curves after a repair, in production, while commissioning or troubleshooting? If you can start the motor across-the-line, with a line-frequency soft-start (discrete-tapped or ramped-voltage transformer), or with a drive, this technique will produce performance curves. [US Patent No. 10,698,031 ].
